Carl A. Schopfer, CFP^®

Mr. Schopfer has been involved in professional financial planning and investment management since 2004 in the Scottsdale area.

In addition to a financial career, Carl has over forty years of product development and senior management experience in the aerospace business sector. Carl holds a Bachelor of Science and a Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, and a Master of Business Administration from Butler University in Indianapolis. Prior to establishing the financial planning practice, he held a number of senior executive positions in engineering, program and business management, and strategic planning for a Fortune 100 company in the Phoenix area. In 2008 Carl joined MD Helicopter of Mesa Arizona in a consulting capacity and retired as the President in 2014.

Carl Schopfer was the founding principal of Schopfer Financial Services, an independent financial planning and investment advisor firm, located in the Scottsdale area. The adviser firm specialized in providing fee-only financial planning and investment advisory services to individuals and small businesses. Carl attained the prestigious credentials of a Certified Financial Planner CFP®, a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, and was a registered member of NAPFA (National Association od Personal Financial Planners). Carl maintained the financial planning business as a Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) until 2016.

Carl brings not only a thorough understanding of the financial planning process to his clients but valuable real-life experience in retirement planning and investment management.

Carl and his wife Joyce live in Scottsdale, AZ and have two children and four grandchildren.
