VP Advisory Services
With over 30 years of financial services experience working with some of the Northwest’s premier firms, Chris brings a range of invaluable skills in business development, investments, retirement plans, and private wealth advisory to NWCM. In his role as Vice President of Advisory Services, Chris directs his skills to our Retirement Plan Advisory practice, working with committee members and plan participants to drive successful retirement plans. He is also a member of the Investment Committee.
Chris joined NWCM in 2014, after four years as a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Services Group. Prior to his tenure at Morgan Stanley, Chris spent 17 years with highly regarded technology research firm, Pacific Crest Securities, as SVP/Partner, Institutional Equity Sales, working with senior investment professionals from mutual funds, hedge funds, and private money managers. His time with Pacific Crest followed another lengthy career (just over 9 years) with Tacoma-based Puget Sound Bank, where he honed his skills as a Mortgage Officer, Investment Officer, Brokerage Operations Manager, and Equity Trader. Chris graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, and a Minor in Economics, from the University of Puget Sound in 1983, where he kept busy playing four years of NCAA Division II soccer and two years of NCAA Division II baseball.
Chris has been working in an advisory capacity with institutions for over 20 years, first in the institutional equity research arena and later in the ERISA covered retirement plan market. Chris previously earned the Series 7 and 63 designations and currently maintains the Series 65 designation. He has successfully applied his institutional experience to the DC plan space for the last eight years, servicing the firm’s corporate and public-sector clients.
